Writing down your goals DOES matter
You may have heard about the Harvard (or Yale) study that found MBA students who wrote down their goals earned 10 times more than those who did not.
That’s a myth; no such study ever took place. But written goals do make a difference, based on a legitimate study by Gail Matthews at Dominican University.
Study participants with written goals significantly outperformed those who did not. Perhaps even more important, those who made a public commitment and sent weekly progress reports accomplished significantly more than those who simply wrote them down.
